Description

By 2003 the WHR will have been extended a further five miles. Starting just below Caernarfon Castle the line runs the 12 miles to Rhyd Ddu where it meets the start of one of the paths up Snowdon.

Travel by Bus

The nearest bus stop is 500m and served by Arriva Cymru service 5X/5 between Llandudno, Bangor and Caernarfon. There are four services per hour between Bangor and Caernarfon weekdays and an hourly frequency on Sundays.

Travel By Train

The nearest railway station is Bangor, which is served by trains between Holyhead and Crewe. Services run at hourly frequencies on weekdays. The Steam Railway is a 16km bus journey from Bangor.
