Description
A spectacularly scenic seven and a quarter mile heritage railway running between Tywyn and Nant Gwernol along the Afon Fathew. Pioneers of railway preservation celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2001 with original rolling stock including items dating back to 1866.
Travel by Bus
The nearest bus stop is adjacent and served by Arriva Cymru service 29 between Machynlleth and Tywyn. There are three journeys daily on weekdays and there are two suitable services on Sundays.
Travel By Train
The nearest railway station is Tywyn, which is served by trains on the Cambrian Coast Line between Machynlleth and Pwllheli. Services run at approximately two hourly frequencies weekdays. The steam railway is a 400m walk from the main line railway station.
