Description
Almost 2,000 years ago, a Roman fortress was founded at Caerleon, which would guard the region for over 200 years. Learn what made the Romans a formidable force and how life wouldn't be the same without them. See a large collection of objects that show us how they lived, fought, worshipped and died.

Travel by Bus
Newport Transport operates service 2E linking Newport Bus Station with Caerleon on an approximately 30 minute frequency, on weekdays and weekends. The journey time is 15 minutes.
