Description

Set within the ruins of a Norman and medieval castle, the museum records the history of this market town and fortress.

Travel by Bus

Abergavenny can be reached from Cardiff and Cwmbran by Stagecoach service X3 which runs every hour on weekdays. From Hereford Stagecoach service X3 runs every two hours on weekdays. From Brecon Stagecoach service 21 runs approx. two hours on weekdays. There are no Sunday services.

Travel By Train

The nearest railway station is Abergavenny, which is served by trains between Cardiff and Shrewsbury. Services run at hourly frequencies on weekdays. The Museum and Castle is a one km walk from the railway station.
