Description
Located on the banks of the River Gwendraeth, the crescent shaped medieval shaped fortress is the site of many battles throughout the centuries. Formerly home of the legendary Princess Gwenllian.

Travel by Bus
First Cymru services X11 (Swansea – Carmarthen) and 111 (Swansea – Kidwelly) both provide good services. X11 operates every hour on weekdays and 111 every 30 minutes. On Sundays service 111 operates every two hours.

Travel By Train
The nearest railway station is Kidwelly, which is served by trains between Swansea and Carmarthen Services run at two hourly frequencies on weekdays. The Castle is approximately a one and a half km walk from the railway station.
