Description
A World Heritage listed site. The castle towers above Tremadog Bay and is naturally defended on three sides by cliffs and also by concentric lines of mutually supporting fortifications.
Travel by Bus
Harlech is on the Arriva Cymru service 38 running between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Barmouth. There are a few journeys from Blaenau Ffestiniog but a more frequent service from Barmouth. There are no Sunday services.
Travel By Train
The nearest railway station is Harlech, which is served by trains on the Cambrian Coast Line between Machynlleth and Pwllheli. Services run at approximately two hourly frequencies weekdays. The Castle is a 200m uphill walk from the railway station.
