Description

A mighty fortress alongside the River Wye guarding the route from England into South Wales. The castle has the earliest stone keep in Britain

Travel by Bus

The nearest bus stop is 100m distant and served by Stagecoach in South Wales service 73 which runs every hour between Newport and Gloucester. There are no Sunday services.

Travel By Train

The nearest railway station is Chepstow on the Cardiff to Birmingham line. Services run at two hourly frequencies on weekdays. The Castle is approximately a one km walk from the railway station.
